Growing up in the City of Barrie, Dr. Nina Hansen has always had a keen interest in sports. From a young age, she experienced firsthand the plentiful benefits of chiropractic care.

She attended Queen’s University, where she graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Science with honours in life sciences. Dr. Nina then attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where she earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic. Dr. Nina has been a certified personal trainer with the City of Barrie since 2012 and is also a certified clinical acupuncture provider. She was selected from her class to intern at St. Michael’s Hospital in her last year of chiropractic college.

Outside of academics, she is an avid soccer player, snowboarder, and triathlete. As a competitive athlete, motivating trainer and chiropractor, she is passionate and committed to improving her patients’ health and well-being.

Dr. Nina’s focus is to assess and treat problems caused by joints, muscles and nerves. Her goal is to optimize all her patients’ health by improving mobility and function in all areas of the body. Dr. Nina practices chiropractic adjustments, joint mobilizations, muscle therapy, acupuncture, laser therapy, and shock waves.

Dr. Mozaffari, ND, graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in 2019, and successfully passed all required entry to practice examinations, to practice naturopathy in Ontario. She is currently a member in good standing with The College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO), the province regulatory body of naturopathy. She also holds a professional membership with the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND). Before her education in naturopathic medicine, she obtained a Master of Science degree in agronomy and crop science, and a Bachelor of Science degree in plant pathology from Iran. She welcomes all patients to her practice, but her main areas of interest in women’s health, hormonal imbalances, skin, and digestion.

Digestive conditions that Dr. Mozaffari, ND, is interested in treating: gas and bloating, diarrhea, constipation, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBS), peptic ulcer disease (PUD), gallbladder issues, fatty liver disease.

Hormonal imbalances that Dr. Mozaffari, ND, is interested in treating: menstrual irregularities, menstrual cramps, thyroid issues, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), premenstrual syndrome (PMS), uterine fibroids.

Other skin conditions that Dr. Mozaffari, ND, is interested in treating: acne, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss.

Ann Mortson, Registered Massage Therapist, graduated from the CDI College of Massage Therapy program in Barrie in 2006.

Ann uses a broad range of massage techniques, including deep tissue, fascial, Swedish, hot stone, cupping, and Thai stem therapy that allow her to provide therapeutic benefits for a wide variety of conditions.

Ann grew up on a large dairy farm and has lived in the Oro-Medonte area for most of her life. Ann has a deep love for all animals, but most important, her Brittany Spaniel, Izzie. Ann enjoys hot yoga and many outdoor activities, including boating, water sports and snowmobiling.

Ann is very passionate about her career and will strive to provide the best quality care tailored to each individual’s specific needs.
