Dr. Mendes has been a licensed chiropractor for over 20 years, obtaining his Doctorate in Chiropractic in 1998. His passion for helping people turned into a particular focus in the clinical management of scoliosis. His keen interest in the challenges of scoliosis management led him to obtain various accreditations in:

Dr. Mendes and his wife Kelly have 3 beautiful and very active daughters that all enjoy their family time together.

Nikki was born and raised in Calgary Alberta. She studied Advanced Massage Therapy at Makami College and completed her 3000 hour program with high honors back in 2018. She is passionate when it comes to her job and is always eager to meet new people. Nikki loves to provide a treatment plan using Swedish massage, trigger point release and therapist-assisted stretching for a more relaxing and therapeutic approach. She also is trained in myofascial release (both manual and cupping), deep tissue massage, joint mobilization and prenatal massage. Nikki feels comfortable working with clients of all ages and will adjust treatments to fit the needs and wants of each individual.

Whether you need to come in for relaxation, pain relief, have troubles sleeping, headaches, past or current injury, been in a motor vehicle accident or anything else life may bring you, Nikki’s main focus is to help you become the best version of yourself. She will also provide advice after the massage to help you continue a healthy, pain free lifestyle at home.

When Nikki has time off she loves to spend it outdoors exploring in and around the city, camping and hiking. When the weather prevents that from happening you can find her inside watching a good tv show or movie.

I have a varied background, my bachelor is in Physical Education and Sport Sciences. My first master’s degree is in physical education and sport sciences and then for almost 10 years I worked as a lecturer and member of scientific board in the university. I moved to The UK and received my second master’s degree in sport biomechanics.

In 2012, I moved to Canada and started a volunteer job at The U of C in the rehabilitation centre and in 2013 went to Bow valley college for LPN. In 2016 I started The Register Massage Therapy program at Makami college and at the same time started my PhD in sport bio mechanics. After finishing my first year I was hired by The college. For almost 3 years I have worked as an instructor and tutor and I supervised first and second year students in clinic.

I have been working in Osteopathic and in home physical therapy. I prefer to work for most orthopaedic condition, deep tissue and using different techniques to release pain like PNF, Modified Eccentric contraction, somatic exercise specific for correction of posture abnormalities, cupping and manual treatment for myofascial release.
