Dr. Oliphant has been a practicing chiropractor in Calgary for over 27 years. He is an authorized WCB provider and has testified as an expert witness at the Court of Queen’s Bench in personal injury cases. Dr. Oliphant himself suffered chronic low back pain and sciatica for many years following a motor vehicle accident in which he herniated his L5 disc, eventually necessitating 1 ½ year off work. He finally got long-term relief of his low back pain and sciatica with the DRX 9000 Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression Therapy Machine and brought the DRX 9000 and DRX 9000C to Calgary, being the first clinic in Western Canada to provide this treatment. Since then, his clinic, Alberta Back and Neck Rehab and Sports Injuries Clinic, has performed over 20,000 decompression treatments.

My research has been published in prestigious journals like Nature, and I have authored 17 peer-reviewed manuscripts with over 600 citations. 

I am now advancing my skills as a physiotherapist with a subspecialty in chronic pain management.

Mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused techniques are some of the more common strategies that she uses to help individuals achieve a sense of growth and improve their quality of life. She also possesses training in clinical trauma therapy, pain management, and CBT-I.

In her spare time, she likes to write short stories. Shea also enjoys activities such as painting, drawing, and using watercolors.

Christel is trained in a wide variety of massage techniques; having a special interest in deep tissue, myofascial release (manual and cupping),  orthopedic assessment and injury management. Always wanting to customize each client’s massage to best fit their body and comfort level,  Christel enjoys taking a variety of continuing education courses to bring new tools into her practice. When out of the office you can find Christel enjoying time with her husband and son, playing board games and planning their next trip. 

Colin has a Massage therapy diploma from Mount Royal University and a BSc. of Kinesiology from the University of Lethbridge. His background in sports performance training led him to the field of rehabilitation. Newton’s first law states that a body in motion stays in motion. This analogy applies perfectly to the human body. His primary goal is to help people maintain autonomy in their life and live without pain and limitations. While mechanical function of the body is his primary focus, he also recognises that the mind-body connection has a major influence on individuals’ comfort. He’s passionate about the care and treatment of all members of the public.
