Dr. Nico was born and raised in Hinton, Alberta before leaving home to study kinesiology at the University of Alberta Augustana campus for four years. He first started seeing a chiropractor at a young age due to sports injuries and for wellness care. After taking his bachelors in kinesiology, he moved to San Jose, California to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic West to obtain his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. After four more years of schooling, he graduated with honours and moved to Calgary to start practicing. 

Dr. Nico likes to get to the root of your problem through an extensive history and examination to help build a unique treatment plan for each patient. He uses a wide array of techniques including diversified adjusting technique, soft tissue techniques, rehabilitative exercises, and patient education. His primary goal is to help reduce your pain and prevent future injuries through education and exercises.

When not in the clinic, Dr. Nico loves spending time with friends and family and leads an active lifestyle. Some of his favourite activities include hockey, hiking, running, and weight lifting.

Shu-Yun Yang is a gr­aduate from the Maka­mi College Massage Therapy program. Shu-­Yun specializes in deep tissue and cuppi­ng techniques for mu­scle relaxation but is also certified in other techniques. Shu-Yun displays excellent care for her clien­ts by personally cus­tomizing each massage session based on the clients’ needs.

Shu-Yun loves the se­renity of nature and the great outdoors and will take any op­portunity to embrace it through camping trips. Shu-Yun also finds great joy in cooking and has maste­red a wide variety of vegetarian delicac­ies.

Elizabeth Tabuena is a Registered Massage Therapist with 2200 hours, a Certified Laser Therapist and currently finishing a reflexology course. She is an active member of MTAA. Having both medical (medical technologist) and alternative health background, she uses it as a tool to help people recover from acute and chronic pains.

She never stops learning additional modalities to improve her passion as a Registered Massage Therapist (relaxation, therapeutic, deep tissue, advanced orthopedic massage, cupping and hot stones, laser therapy). In her spare time, she likes going for a long drive and camping during good weather.

Dianne Brown is a graduate of Makami College and a member of CMRTA. Always learning, Dianne continues to add new modalities and skills to her practice. Dianne is currently offering deep tissue, therapeutic, cupping and well as Lymphatic massage. Combining all therapeutic techniques Dianne treats each client as individual needs require.

Dianne loves sports and lives a very active lifestyle. This year she started learning to golf. Having a history in athletic endeavours she is familiar with many common sports ailments.

At home Dianne loves to bake, sew, crochet and make cards. She has a great sense of humour and loves to connect with others.

Lisa Carlson has a master’s degree in counselling psychology and is a registered psychologist in the province of Alberta. She enjoys working with people to increase their quality of life and make the changes necessary to reach their personal goals. Lisa offers an emphatic and supportive therapy style, which allows people to feel comfortable sharing their experiences. Her therapeutic approach involves the integration of the body, mind and spirit in the pursuit of growth, healing, and emotional well-being.

Lisa is certified in pain management, EMDR trained, and WCB approved.

Stanley has been treating patients in the medical profession for 30 years and started in the custom foot orthotic field 20 years ago. His passion for pedorthics drives his ability to find helpful solutions and to share educational information with his patients. He strives to provide the best possible experience in foot care. His patients regularly comment on his thoroughness and attention to detail in his assessments which include an analysis of posture, biomechanical gait movement patterns and lower extremity musculoskeletal function. Video gait analysis provides the ability to visually show patient exactly when and where their imbalances occur. He encourages his patients to participate in their own recovery by taking the time to educate them about their medical condition, footwear selection, orthotics and home rehabilitation programs.

Stanley graduated with a Diploma in Sports Injury Management (Athletic Therapy) from Sheridan College in 1991 after completing a Bachelor of Physical Education from Brock University. He subsequently became a Certified Athletic Therapist in 1992, a Canadian Red Cross Emergency Medical Responder Instructor in 2000, a Certified Pedorthic Technician in 2002 and a Certified Pedorthist in 2003. Stanley has been a member of the Canadian Athletic Therapist Association since 1990, a Canadian Red Cross Training Partner since 2000 and a member of the College of Pedorthics of Canada / Pedorthic Association of Canada since 2002.

Stanley recharges his energy by engaging in outdoor pursuits, especially on a sunny, warm Alberta day. To keep active, Stanley currently participates in camping, white water river kayaking, alpine skiing, mountain biking, jogging, martial arts as well as weight and cardio training. Stanley also enjoys riding his motorcycle in the mountains during the warmer months of the year.
