Helping You Feel Your Best
If you struggle with chronic pain, you know its debilitating effects. You've likely given up hobbies, family activities, and travel in your efforts to control pain and maintain functionality.
Laser therapy has been found to penetrate tissue and initiate healing on a cellular level, even allowing some patients to return to normal, everyday activities with little to no pain.
Laser Therapy, targets damaged tissue with specific wavelengths of light that have been found to interact with tissue and accelerate the healing process.
Much like photosynthesis in plants, light energy passes through the skin, and into the cell membrane, initiating a process called photobiostimulation. This process enhances the body's natural regenerative functions, as well as stimulating the release of endorphins. It may eventually even normalize damaged or injured tissue.
The result? Accelerated wound healing, as well as reduced pain, stiffness, swelling, and spasms. As the injured area returns to normal, the function is restored, so patients may take their life back and resume their favorite hobbies and activities.
Laser therapy can stimulate all cell types, including soft tissue, ligaments, cartilage, and nerves. Some conditions that have been shown to respond well to laser therapy include:
- Peripheral Neuropathy, Fibromyalgia
- Back and Neck Pain
- Sciatic Pain
- Arthritis pain, Degenerative Discs/Joints
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Knee Problems
- Tendinitis, Trigger Fingers
- Bunion Pains, Plantar Fasciitis
- Sprains and/or Strains
- Bruises, Contusions, Burns
- Headaches, TMJ, Sinus Trouble
- Athletic Injuries
- Work-Related and Motor Vehicle Accident Injuries

FAQs
Q. DO I NEED A DOCTORS REFERRAL FOR LASER THERAPY?
Doctor referrals are not required to access most of our treatments, however, some of the insurance plans may require a referral.
Q. WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO GET A TREATMENT?
Most patients describe it as a very soothing, warm sensation. They generally experience no side effects or recovery period.
Q. HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER THE TREATMENT?
You may feel pain relief after just the first treatment. For other patients, it takes a while longer. Most patients report feeling very relaxed, or even tired. If you feel a lot less pain, keep in mind that pain reduction is just one goal. The laser is giving your body's cells more energy, so they repair and regenerate new tissues. The effect of laser therapy treatments is cumulative. You will be getting more benefit with successive treatments.
Q. DO I NEED TO TAKE SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS AFTER MY LASER TREATMENT?
For the most part, no. Obviously, you do not want to overexert and reinjure yourself. You may need to make changes to your workstation. If you are planning to work out, you may want to reduce the intensity or change the nature of your exercise. Discuss this with your practitioner.
Q. HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
The number of laser treatments will depend on the nature and duration of your condition, and other factors.

SUCCESSFUL STORIES
Just have to thank Dr. Nina!!! The chiropractic care I receive is outstanding and with such precision and creativity! I have an autoimmune condition called Scleroderma which causes extreme mis-alignment and muscle/joint pain. After an adjustment I feel amazing and helps me to cope with the symtoms so I don’t have to take pharmaceuticals that often. Also, I notice my low blood pressure is back to normal since I have been seeing Dr. Nina. I am so relieved I can start up my adjustments again. I have referred my nieces, my sister, and my friend and they all are of the same opinion!! Dr. Nina is my Chiropractor for life!!!

I highly recommend Nicole, I had my first massage with her today and it was very relaxing and took a lot of the stress out of my body from the last few months. I felt very comfortable with Nicole, she is easy going, respectful and professional. It was just the perfect combination of touch and light conversation at the right time. I will most definitely be going back to Nicole in the future.

Made the mistake of going to another provider based on them open on Saturday, what a mistake. Minimal relieve and care. I returned to Dr. Jamie Mulholland in Airdrie and what a difference. Hips line up, pain on standing gone, not hunched over due to lower and upper back pain, headaches relieve in the first visit back to Dr. Jamie. Won’t venture away again.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Jackie Fairbourn for over 8 years and I highly recommend her as an amazingly gifted healing facilitator. She continues to impress me with her openness to adding gentle healing approaches to her extensive chiropractic skill set. Lately I have particularly enjoyed the tension-relieving benefits resulting from receiving Body Code, Emotional Code and now, Network Care. I appreciate her calm, informed and intuitive healing support.

I was referred by a friend to Jency Henry Physiotherapist at Macleod trail Optimum for my back pain. She is amazing, she knows what she is doing. She was explaining during the assessment and treatment session about what are my issues and what needs to be treated or taken care. I was very satisfied about her approach in treating my pain. I came to understand about my body better like my weakness and tightness. I feel very light as if most of my weight has been off from my back after my session.
