Hip Pain
The hip is the connection between your core and lower limbs. It is important to many daily movements, from walking to squatting to jumping. The hip is a ball and socket joint, which by nature is highly mobile. Because of this, the wide variety of muscles and ligaments that surround and support this joint are imperative to both protection of the hip and making sure it operates optimally. Due to the mechanics of this joint, and the constant stress it is under, hip pain can be a common complaint.
Some causes of hip pain include: acute injuries and trauma, this can happen from a fall, car accident or spots injury, chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis, repetitive strain injuries to the muscles surrounding the joint, genetic conditions such as congenital hip dysplasia, pain that refers to the hip from the low back or SI joints.
