Bio:
Dr. Teya is a born and raised Calgarian. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Ambrose University in Calgary, AB, in which she also played both collegiate-level volleyball and futsal. She then obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States in Portland, OR.

Dr. Teya believes that patient education is very important in resolving symptoms, and she wants to find the root cause of your symptoms to allow for better success. She uses a variety of techniques such as manual adjustments, soft tissue therapy, and rehabilitation exercises to create a personalized treatment plan. Dr. Teya educates her patients that chiropractic care can help reduce symptoms, but it can also be used as a preventative treatment, which can help create a healthier lifestyle. 

In her spare time, Dr. Teya likes to coach high school girls’ volleyball, live an active lifestyle, and hang out with her friends and family!

I, Flavia have been a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) for the past 13 years. I studied and graduated from The Northern Institute of Massage Therapy back in 2007.

Over the past 13 years, I have worked with Optimum Wellness Centres and embarked on other adventures such as becoming a mother. I have 4 beautiful children that are mesmerizing and create wonderful challenges daily, alongside motherhood I continued to work privately.

In the past 13 years, I have excelled in many different modalities of Massage Therapy some of which include: Pregnancy Massage, Infant Massage, Jade Hot Stone Massage, Acupressure, and Meridian Lines, Therapeutic, Swedish Relaxation Massage, Myofascial Cupping, Reiki, and many more. I absolutely love what I do and am eager to learn more modalities to help clients reach their Optimum health. I also speak 4 different languages and can read and write in each one of them as well, they are Portuguese, French, Spanish, and English.

I am ecstatic about returning to work for Optimum and working with such great teammates as well as wonderful clientele.

Nicole completed her massage therapy training at Makami College in 2019 and has since become a Registered Massage Therapist. She also holds a degree as an LPN, creating extensive knowledge in understanding the human body. Nicole's passion for sustainable recovery and overall well-being led her to focus on massage therapy. Her treatments are tailored to the individual needs of her patients, utilizing techniques such as stretches, trigger point release, fascial release, and deep tissue pressure. Her primary goal is to help her clients thrive in their daily lives and overcome pain. 

During her leisure time, Nicole finds pleasure in spending quality time with her family, indulging in various do-it-yourself craft projects, and honing her culinary skills by whipping up delectable treats in the kitchen.

Bio:

Russell is a 3000 hour trained massage therapist through Makami College. He believes strongly in living an active lifestyle and does this by running, playing hockey, working out, and boxing. He is also a certified breath coach and yoga therapist.

Russell likes to use a lot of stretching and activity in his home care plans. He also often uses breathwork and stretch therapy in his treatments. He believes educating people on ways to manage recovery is key to maintaining a healthy body. 

When Russell isn’t at Optimum working with clients, he is likely at the dog park with his wife and four dogs, out for a run, or playing hockey.

Bio
Stanley has been treating patients in the medical profession for 32 years and started in the custom foot orthotic field 22 years ago. His passion for pedorthics drives his ability to find helpful solutions and share educational information with his patients. He strives to provide the best possible experience in foot care. His patients regularly comment on his thoroughness and attention to detail in his assessments which include an analysis of posture, biomechanical gait movement patterns, and lower extremity musculoskeletal function. Video gait analysis provides the ability to visually show the patient exactly when and where their imbalances occur. He encourages his patients to participate in their own recovery by taking the time to educate them about their medical condition, footwear selection, orthotics, and home rehabilitation programs.
